The Maltese Islands are like nowhere else. Amidst the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta and Gozo are packed full of history from both ancient and more recent times. Prehistoric temples and fossil-rich cliffs sit alongside walled cities, great fortresses and a labyrinth of underground tunnels that bear testament to WWII bombardment.
Geographical location provides influences from neighbouring European and Arabic countries, resulting in an eclectic fusion not to be missed. The native language sounds Arabic, but with Italian, French and English words thrown in for good measure and the local food resonates with flavours from Sicily and the Middle East. Typical dishes include fenkata, which is a stewed rabbit dish with wine and garlic, and unsurprisingly for an island, fish is also very popular.
On our twin centre break you will spend three nights in Victoria, the capital of Gozo and four nights in Valletta, the capital of Malta, (or vice versa depending on flight times), with taxi/ferry transfer between the Islands, breakfast and return airport transfers also included.
Like the climate, the locals are warm and welcoming and we hope with our saving of up to £60pp on the normal price of £559pp for a 7 nights break we might have provided you with all the temptation you need to get you jetting off to the Mediterranean this spring.
From just £499pp
