Some great deals can be found in luxury hotels in Krakow, Bratislava and Warsaw

A luxury 5* city break in many European cities will always be very expensive, even during the off-peak season which, for most cities, is between November and March. However, there are a number of cities where it is possible to find an excellent 5* deal at any time of year. Three very good examples are to be found in the popular cities of Krakow, Bratislava and Warsaw. In this blog I’ll take a look at some of the hotels concerned ……

     Krakow – Radisson Blu Hotel

This superb 5-star hotel is locted just a 2-minute walk away from Krakow’s Main Market Square and the Royal Wawel Castle. Standard rooms include such five-star amenities as free high-speed wireless internet access, satellite television and complimentary access to the on-site fitness centre. Bratislava – Marrol’s Boutique Hotel

You certainly step into luxury when you enter Marrol’s Boutique Hotel. Since it was opened the hotel has consistently been rated as one of the top hotels in Europe. It was named after Lady Mary Ann Marrol, a daughter of a wealthy Scottish merchant who visited Bratislava at the turn of the 20th century. The hotel is perfectly located in the historical heart of the city just a few minutes walk from the Danube. The superior bedrooms come with all the amenities you would expect of a top 5* hotel. The Messina restaurant offers a range of international cuisine but specializes in Slovak and Central European menus.

    Warsaw – The Westin Hotel

This excellent deluxe hotel is located in downtown Warsaw, about 5 minutes’ walk from the Palace of Culture and Science and about 10 minutes from the Central Railway Station. The 20-storey hotel features a glass-covered exterior elevator offering panoramic views, which has become one of the city’s landmarks. The 361 well appointed rooms are of a good size and decorated in a contemporary style. Hotel facilities include a fitness centre with sauna. The hotel’s Fusion Restaurant located on the ground floor offers cutting edge “fusion” cuisine in a contemporary atmosphere, combining the exotic cuisine of the Far East with some of the more elaborate dishes of the Western world.
